I got this book because it has one of my favorite stories in it: "Robin Dies at Dawn". Overall, the book shows how Batman has changed throughout the years, from 1939 to the present day. In one story there is a scene showing the murder of Thomas and Martha wayne from young Bruce's perspective.. literally. It is a must-see for all Bat-Fans. However, I wouldn't recomend this book for young kids: It's very graphic towards the end; and has not only blood but a head-in-toilet interrogation scene and two ... Read More

This collection of Batman stories is great! Each of the stories showcased in this collection is from a different era in Batman's history... and they are all fun to read and admire. My personal favorite in this collection is O'Neil/Adams' "The Joker's Five Way Revenge," perhaps because it is from the '70's, when I began reading comics and Adams' intepretation of Batman is so life-like.
