Product Description:
In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape his sight - former test pilot Hal Jordan is the wearer of the powerful green ring, and fights evil as the Green Lantern! In this new collection of the Green Lantern's early adventures, Hal Jordan destroys Earth; must choose between his life and his powers; and, visits a 58th century devoid of adults and falls in love with an alien disguised as a gorgeous blonde, much to the disdain of long-term love interest Carol Ferris! Written by classic creators Gardner Fox and John Broome ("Justice League of America"), with art by legends Gil Kane ("Batgirl") and Carmine Infantino ("The Flash"), this bumper, bargain collection is packed with awesome superhero action!

I'm a loyal buyer of Showcase Presents (and Marvel Essentials as well), but part of the appeal is including 500 pages of comics. This one's shy the ... Read More

You should know right up front that these DC SHOWCASE reprints are in BLACK AND WHITE and with that out of the way, Volume Four of the SHOWCASE PRESENTS GREEN LANTERN series clocks in a hundred pages lighter than the previous volumes, but keeps its full price tag and issues us into a troubling time in the Green Lantern franchise where the rule of the day was...if it sticks to the wall, go with it.
Following on the heels of the "shocking" events at the end of Volume Three as Carol Ferris decides ... Read More
