Product Description: Four complete original 1940's post WWII cartoons are represented in this interesting collection: 1) WOLF! WOLF! (aka: Mighty Mouse & the Wolf) (1945) starring the voice of Alan Oppenheimer as Mighty Mouse & directed by Eddie Donnelly. A classic tale of a little lost lamb who bleats out "Wolf, Wolf" when threatened by the hungry creature which summons superhero Mighty Mouse to the rescue. 2) YANKEE DOODLE DONKEY (1944) directed by Izzy Sparber. A donkey tries to enlist in the WAGS, a group of Army dogs. However, after a series of tests, he is deemed unfit for service. Later, he proves useful during a flea attack. 3) THE TALKING MAGPIES (1946) starring Heckle & Jeckle directed by Mannie Davis. This is the first screen appearance of Heckle & Jeckle. The talking magpies Heckel and Jeckel rent a nest which happens to be outside the window of an old man and his dog. The old man sends the dog to tell the magpies to be quiet. They chase the magpies around the house and in the end the magpies end up in the hose and the old man and dog in the nest outside. 4) THE STUPIDSTITIOUS CAT (1947) directed by Seymour Kneitel. Here, we have toon versions of Jack Benny & Rochester with Jack as the cartoon's eponymous character and Rochester as the tricky black crow Buzzy. Jackson Beck provides an amusing "Rochester-like" voice for Buzzy.
