Superman: The Animated Series, Volume Two, the second of the series' three season run, continues the modern telling of the American myth Superman. Where the first season focuses on introducing Superman, Metropolis, and a few key bad guys, season two is all about the villains. A few key villains return, including Lobo, series favorite Metallo (voiced by Malcolm McDowell), and of course the evil genius Lex Luthor. But what defines season two is the introduction of new villains such as Superman's evil twin Bizarro (in "Identity Crisis" and "Bizarro's World"), Livewire (voiced by Tank Girl herself Lori Petty), and Luminus (voiced by Airplane!'s Robert Hays). Excellent series all the way through. You get to learn Mxyzpltk is actually pronounced :Mix-L-Spit-Lik: and other fine things about the man of steel. This includes the Superman and Batman crossover which runs through 3 episodes.

I watched the animated BATMAN with my daughter when she was a small child, when it was coming out for the first time. I recently watched the Justice League cartoons that were done by largely the same people. I should have watched SUPERMAN before watching JUSTICE LEAGUE and JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED, and so should you if you haven't seen them all yet. SUPERMAN, like BATMAN, is not at all a bad show. If you like superheroes you have to like Superman because he stands for truth, justice and the american way. Since he first came on tv either in live, animated or in comic book. He always find a way to beat the bad guy. And watching this dvd you can see why.
