This 1978 release was Sonora Poncena's all-time best album--and one that no real salsero should be without. By itself, the immortal "Se Formo" more than justifies buying this CD but the all-time classics "Moreno Soy" and "Canto Al Amor" are also stone-cold Poncena masterpieces. Best of all perhaps is this digitally remastered CD's superb sound quality (which is considerably better and cleaner than the original's). Nearly 30 years after its original release on vinyl this timeless classic still smokes. By itself, the immortal "Se Formo" more than justifies buying this CD but other great "Salsa Dura" dance tracks featured here ("Moreno Soy", "Suena El Piano" and "Sentimiento Jibaro") make this a truly indispensable CD for any serious salsero. A truly definitive album of classic Puerto Rican salsa.
