Product Description:
A group of aliens have come to Earth to learn about its population, customs, etc. To avoid detection, they have taken on human form which gives them human emotions, physical needs etc. WITHOUT the understanding of what they mean or the inhibitions normally present in humans. Their leader takes the position of a college professor, their military expert as his sister, their intelligence expert, supposedly oldest of group takes form of his teenage son. The uninhibited reactions turn everyday events into unusual situations.

I had rented the first season from the local video store and found the show to be hysterical. Unfortunately, the video store only had the first season. So I looked '3rd Rock From The Sun' up and came across the seasons 1-6 bundle, which were much cheaper than buying the all of the seasons separately. Some of the bundles weren't very much cheaper but I ended up finding a good deal on one bundle. They weren't the best on continuity - they left plenty of loose ends after they left Earth, but face it - this was one of the best sitcoms ever on tv. They had the best cast and they best angle. I haven't had this many laugh out louds in years. I know Lithgow is the 'star' but everyone is in this series -- watching Tommy grow up is a trip in itself. Sally and her ever changing relationship with Don and the best of the crew, for me, is Harry. Living in a literal world and flat out slap stick comedy. ... Read More
