It's quite obvious that a lot of thought was put into the design of this Lego Storage Tray Unit. For example, below the trays, there is enough space to fit the large flat plates. (You can even place the plates right above the trays.) In the trays themselves, the largest place holder could hold a 8 x 16 piece (if such size exists).
