Transformers Animated Oil Slick is noteworthy in that heâs equipped with a keg-anchored chain flail and features an acid-green motorcycle mode furnished with a ramâs head skull; in another non-mechanical life, Oil Slick may well have been a monstrous champion dispatched to destroy the irksome Beastmaster in the glorious name of the Jun Horde. Easily one of the cooler Decepticons to drift down the pike in a while, Oil Slick appears to support articulation at the shoulders, elbows, hands, hips and knees (in robot mode the ramâs head is resituated to become armor for the left shoulder). Oil Slickâs head is contained inside a green-tinged canister. Oil Slick specializes in vehicle combat. His chemical canisters render a corrosive effect on Oil Slickâs adversaries while simultaneously exposing the infected robot to his or her worst fears. He is also a skilled practitioner of the Circuit-Su technique.

Oil Slick is a middling Transformer figure. He is worth the 8-10 bucks most stores sell him for, but do not expect anything spectacular. Like many of the line, the plastic is bendy and weak, the transformation is easy, and he is quickly forgotten about. The best part is his head/helmet, which reminds me (and others) of Mr. Freeze from the Batman cartoon. Though the helmet does lead to a more limited transformation sequence.
