The Horse and His Boy

In association with Amazon.com
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - The Horse and His Boy
This book was the third book of the Chronicles of Narnia. It was about a boy named Shasta who was a slave of a fish trader. At his house one day came a Royal King. He had to go outside to sleep and he was alamermed by the Kins horse, who was tlaking to him. The horse named Bree wanted to escape from his owner just as Shata did. They escaped that night to the north. The horse told him about this place called Narnia were all the animals could talk. Sahsta and Bree went on there journey to Narnia. On there way there they encountered another talking horse named Hwin and her rider Aravias also escaping to Narnia. They went on there journey together. They got caught in a dilema with the Prince of a city called Tashbaan. They escaped from there to make it into Narnia were they met other talking anomals and rejoice with the creatures of this world.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Horse and His Boy
This book is a very good book. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes books that make you think and wonder, "What's going to happen next?"
This book is about a boy named Shasta who lives with a man he calls father, but is actually not. One night a Tarkaan, who is a ruler, wants to buy Shasta. Then the Tarkaan's horse (Bree) can talk and tells Shasta all about this magical place known as Narnia. The two of them, then decide that they are going to go live there and they run away. On their way there, they meet a young Tarkheena (Arivas) who is also traveling to Narnia with a talking horse (Hwin.) The four of them decide to go together.
On their way there they have many adventures and meet many different people. Aravis has an old friend help her. Then Shasta is mistaken for a prince and is later helped by the prince when he returns.
I would definitely recommend this book to any one who likes thrillers.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good, but not enough actual Narnia
The horse and his boy is a good book, so instead of saying it is the worst in the series, I will say that it is the 7th best.

This novel has a young boy knowen as Shasta, who works for his father, Arsheesh. But when he finds out he came from the north mountains and that he is not Arsheesh's son, him and a talking horse who says it's name is Bree. They together run into wild and magical obsticles, places, and people along their quest for "Narnia and the North."

I personally think this book is okay to good. 3.5/5 7.75/10 B

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Read me!
Shasta is a young boy who hates his (Father). He wishes to escape his home and go north. Luckily a Tarkaan comes with a talking horse! Shasta and she go north together not knowing what creatures they'll meet.

They meet many animals and friends and will be willing to do anything to go north to Narnia. It is a great adventure for you and Shasta!

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - The Horse and His Boy and My Good Nap
In the book, The Horse and His Boy, Book 3 in The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis, I was very disappointed. I really enjoyed Book 1 and Book 2. They were both packed with lots of action and suspense. The adventures of the main character, Shasta, were not at all intriguing. Eventhough in his past two novels, C.S. Lewis made me root for the heroes and had me so involved with the stroy I actually felt I was there in Narnia, this time he missed his mark. Shasta is trying to find out who he is. He travels to Narnia. Once in Narnia I thought the stroy would pick up and entertain me, unfortunately it did not. The only reason why I actually finished the book instead of abandoning it was the hope the story would improve. I would only recommend this book to people with weak hearts, this way they would be in no danger of suffering a heart attack from the excitement.
