- Great Story for Kids
I read this book so frequently when I was a child that my copy literally fell apart. I've now purchased a copy to read to my own son and am sure that he will enjoy the story of the determined fox family that consistently outwits the greedy farmers just as much as I did. I always liked Roald Dahl's books because they were not the usual sunshine and teddy bear genre of most children's books. Instead, the focus is on overcoming adversity with a bit of humor and a lot of sass.

This book was so exciting and just another wonderful work of children's literature by Dahl. This is the third Dahl book that my 5-year-old and I have read over the course of the past year, and all of them were hard for both of us to put down. The fox is truly fantastic and is a hero to his family and the other "digger" animals around him. He outwits three farmers and prevails with his cleverness. The underground adventure that the fox takes us on keeps us on the edge of our seat. What a great story for children!

Have you ever had the feeling that someone is looking over your shoulder? That's what you will experience reading this book. This book will have you on the edge of your chair. A scrumptious feeling like you are at feast. Never read this book being hungry you just want to jump in and have a feast.

Roald Dahl is one good author. He can make you Just want keep reading. When you open this book and read one word you will get a picture in your mind of the setting. Roald Dahl is the best author to hook you in. When you start to read this book you feel a part in the action pack story.

When Roald Dahl uses voice in his story it sounds like poetry.
When you here crunch, crash, bang, bang, boom you feel that its happening to you. When you are reading this book you are amazed by his way he uses his language.

The author uses a way that works for him to publish real great books that I like reading. The thing you should know is that your not as smart as you think. If you have any questions just read this book it will answer all of your questions.

What i liked about this book is that it was easy and fun to read. what i found out is that it is not for older kids it is more for kids age 1-5. it was funny and will make little kids laugh and have fun reading it. The reason i rated this 5 stars is because it is a really good book and i loved it even though i am older even my 18year old brother loved reading the book when he was little. If your one of those people who dont know what to get your little grandson or granddaughter i think you should get them this book for chirstmas, or birthday.
