This book is great for kids under the age of 11, or for that matter, anybody that has an imagination! The story does not have any plotline, (as with many other Roald Dahl books) instead just a simple story about a family of foxes. How they are able to trick the three mean farmers that shot off Mr. Fox's beautiful tail. The story starts with Mr. Fox asking his children what they would like for dinner; a chicken? A goose? Or a Turkey. After the children have made their choice, Mr. Fox would sneak out quietly into the night and retrieve the poultry. Everything seemed to be perfect for this fox family, until the three farmers in charge of the chicken, goose, and turkeys, did not like this arrangement. They settled a stakeout in Mr. Fox's hole waiting for the perfect time. To find out what happened next, you're going to have to get this book! I loved it the moment I laid eyes on it; since I have quite a huge imagination for my age. The story is exciting, sad, happy, funny, all mixed together into one great book. Roald Dahl is long gone by now, but his books will still delight and entertain those that live after him.

Have you ever imagined being trapped in an underground tunnel? I read the book, "Fantastic Mr. Fox" by Roald Dahl. This book had sneaky characters and they do risky and unexpected things. Some mean farmers trap foxes underground because Mr. Fox is stealing. You can tell the animals are hungry because in the pictures the animals are eating really fast! In this book, I learned you should share your food with other people. Find out what happens when a fox steals from 3 crazy farmers.

Do you like stuffing yourself until your fat? Then "Fantastic Mr. Fox" by Roald Dahl might be the book you are looking for. The book is about a clever fox who gets in some big trouble because he is stealing from some farmers. The pictures are also great.
This book was very well written. You might even learn a lesson from it. One lesson I learned was, never steal or you`ll be paid back. So, find out if the fox`s family will live by reading this book!

I really liked the book when mr fox dug the hole and the farmers never noticed that he was stealing ther food. I think that people 7 and up should read this book.
