The BFG is a very interesting, funny, and strange book for all readers 8-11 years old. The BFG is a dream cacther and he gives those dreams to people when they sleep, but if any one were to see him he would have to take them away to his home called Giant Country so that no one else will know about him and the other 9 giants. But thats just what happens to an orphan named Sophie. One night during the witching hour Sophie was wide awake because she couldn't sleep when she sees the BFG, and when the BFG sees her looking at him, he has to whisk her away to have a wonrous adventure.

The BFG is a srumdiddlelyumcus book that will bring a smile to your face. The funny adventure unfolds when 8-year old Sophie is snated from her bed by a giant. "What giant?" You may ask. The BFG of course! From the orphanage to giant country, Sophie and the BFG quickly become friends. And it will that both of them to stop the nine other giants who, unlike the BFG, are bloodthirsty for humans...
People who like to laugh and enjoy the Roald Dahl series will love the BFG. This is a wonderful book that is perfect for read alouds. And if your a teacher, this book will surely make your studens laugh. I recommend this book for grades 4-7.

I read this book to my three kids (ages 8 and 6) and they loved it. I gave the BFG a working-class English accent and thoroughly enjoyed reading it aloud to them at bedtime. Of all Roald Dahl's books, this is my absolute favourite. The language is hilarious, the story is poignant, and it's just one of those books that an adult can enjoy as much as kids.

The book The BFG was written by Ronald Dahl. A brief summary of it was that there is a girl name Sophie and she saw a giant and she gets captured by him. The reason I read this book because Ronald Dahl makes very funny books. I would recommend this book to males and females. I think that any age can read this book. I think boys, girls, adults or people who like nonsense would like this ridiculous book.
Some things that were good about this book is the giant BFG (the Big Friendly Giant.) I thought that because he is very funny and he always misuse words. For example he says "Just because I is a giant, you think I is a man-gobbling cannybull." Another think that I thought was good about the book is the setting. I thought that because Sophie got captured by the Big Friendly Giant (BFG). An example of that is when Sophie says "P...please don't eat me." There was nothing that I didn't like in this book. I liked this book because it was really funny. Something that I thought was funny was when the BFG says "That is a scrumdiddlyuptious snozzcumber."
My overall opinion of the book is that I thought that it was very funny and it made you laugh and it had a bunch of nonsense in it. Yes, I recommend this book because it is a really funny book and it has so much nonsense in it and makes it even more funnier.
