This was one of the best books i have read in my life, it was humourus, sad, and makes you think. I liked the book alot, i only read the first one and i wouldn't mind reading the second!
We read the book in class and we all laughed, and cried. I thought the book was a message, saying be careful of what you think and do.

I will recommend this to my teacher, as a lesson in english, to come and post a review! :)

I checked this out from the library, mainly because of the limited selection of books on CD that would be appropriate for all of my children to listen. A friend had recommended it, but frankly she didn't do it justice. I was expecting a rather mindless, entertaining children's story. Instead I found it thought provoking and touching. The message that real maturity comes with real responsibility left me rethinking my parenting approach of waiting for maturity to happen before I give responsiblity. (Ok it's only children fiction I haven't acutally changed anything yet.)

The other big surprise was the reading talent of the author. When I saw that the book was read by the author I was expecting a mediocre performance. As a regular audiobook listener I have to say Lynn Reid Banks is one of the best.
