Dangerous Tides is as sensual as it is an intriguing story of danger, mystery, and romance...with a touch of magic of course. Libby Drake is the sensible sister. As a medical doctor, and magically gifted with the power of healing, she has traveled the world to offer her services wherever needed. One of the things that Libby secretly longed for but also was afraid of was finding a love of her own. She's seen several of her sisters in very happy relationships and was quietly resolved that it would never happen to her. The only man she was ever attracted to didn't know that she existed.
Ty Derrick, a brilliant chemist and adrenalin junkie, has returned to Sea Haven to spend time with his cousin Sam. He's also decided that it's time he settle down, but the only problem is the only girl he could ever dream of being with is Libby Drake. Their paths finally cross when Libby risks her life to save Ty's. Sparks fly and Libby and Ty finally give in to their desires. But while they're busy falling in love, someone is also busy trying to murder one of them. There are several suspects but the climactic moment finally reveals, to their shock, the person behind the attempts on their lives.
This was an entertaining read but I'll warn you that Ty Derrick is not someone you will like very much. He's stubborn, critical of Libby's (and her sisters') gifts, and a basic pain in the butt. I sometimes wish Libby didn't end up with him. Regardless, this is a great story albeit a bit predictable.

This story focuses on the fourth Drake sister, Libby, who is an empath and a powerful healer. She falls for Tyson, a man who's a genius when it comes to science, but who's absolutely clueless about love and relationships. Danger surrounds them when they realize someone's out to kill them both.
This book is great because it has more than the typical "perfect" characters you see in other romance novels. They have different aspects to their personalities that make them seem more like real people. Libby is the most responsible and compassionate of the Drake sisters, but she's also insecure and is hurt by what others think of her, like Ty's cousin. Ty is such an average male, one minute you want to smack him for being insensitive and the next minute you want to kiss him for surprising you by being such a sweetheart.
The only reason I didn't give this book five stars was because it was too easy to figure out who the villain was, but other than that, this was a great romance and I would highly recommend it!

I never read a single book by Christine Feehan before this one, and I must say that I have become a big fan of hers!
This book had so much of everything: Principles and values, romance and sensuality, suspense and action, a great plot, at least 10 awesome characters that make the story that much more pleasant, etc.
Everything was very well-described in the book, which made me enjoy it very much! I could see everything in my mind's eye, thanks to Christine Feehan's way of storytelling.
The only thing that bugged me was that there was no closure on the whole Harry thing, or the drug for cancer, or even a clear-cut explanation about who was following Libby in the car. BUT... it was still an AWESOME book. :)

This is my first Drake Sisters novel, and I admit Christine Feehan is not my favorite. Still there were a couple of things that drove me nuts about this book. Altough there are multiple attempts on Libby and Ty's lives, they still run around like normal.. No survival skills. Also.. are there no cell phones in Seahaven? What's up with a Millionaire Techie Nerd Genius and every time someone trys to kill him he runs away or sends Libby running for help. Use your cell call 911...duh..

BORING, very disapointing based on the other books in this sister series that I have read. Didn't care about the hero cared less about the wimpy crybaby heroine. Creepy love scenes, NOT romantic at all. By the end I could understand the villain's need to kill her.
