I don't follow comic books but felt like reading about Superman. The great things about this book are you don't have to know a thing about The Man of Steel beforehand, and also the wonderful way it ends. Excellent writing

This book talks about the death of Superman and what happens after his death. It talks about the people who tries to replace: Superboy, Steel, The Eradicator and the cyborg. It also tells about how he comes back.

Excellent retelling of the comic book story of Superman's death and return. Some parts were changed from the comics themselves, but it was nescessary to keep from makintg a 800 page book.
Roger Stern provides much insight and Superman's death is still as emotional and powerful as it was in the comic book. A

This book intricately describes the death and Return of
Superman, and it's pretty good, though only if you're a fan.
If you are a Superman lover, this book is a must. If you
like super heros or comicbook characters, it is still a great
book. Yet if you don't like Superman or comics, I'd take my money
elsewhere if I were you.

This is the only comic to novel adaptation I have ever seen that worked.
It tells the same general story as the comics but adds a wealth of background on the people and places in the book.
A fun, exciting, and enjoyable read.
