I read the book about two years ago and I remember that it was great. It's one of those books that you can't put down. I strongly recommend it to anyone who likes books about adventure, magical powers, and one of a kind characters. I loved Wise Child also, but Juniper was my favorite.

Juniper tells you what it means to become a Doran. When I finished reading it, I wanted desperatly to be Juniper. It has a great storyline and elaborates where Wise Child left off- after all, we know Wise Child wants to become a Doran, but we don't find out how she becomes one because the book ends at that point. Juniper gives you the dibs on this as well as giving you Juniper's background as Ninnoc. Juniper is my fav, but I think that whichever of the two you read first is the one you like best.

When I was younger this book lead me along the path I eventually took becoming a wiccan. The use of the Nature religion, and the term DORAN is a substitute for the word: witch. This book reached me on a new and important level, and helped me start to research both literature and myself to find the Nature religion and break free of the chains of modern oppression. Read it, and find the knowledge in yourself.
