I SAW THIS BOOK FOR A FRIEND AND I KNOW THAT HE WOULD LOVE IT BECAUSE HE IS A HUGE SUPERMAN AND HER COLLECTS COMIC BOOKS

this is a great book with full color and character explanations. you can't go wrong with this as a present. i would recommend this for comic collectors or children.
Rating: - The DC Comics Encyclopedia
We purchased this book for our son because he is very interested in comic book heroes and villains. He also received the Marvel Comics Encyclopedia and compares the two books and universes. Both are complete with every hero and villain created. Now he is using both books to create his own characters. He is 8 years old, and these books are great for his imagination and creativity.
Rating: - Not Perfect, but...
It's a must-have companion for those just starting into the huge, convoluted DC universe. Unfortunately, it's already somewhat outdated. i.e. superboy is now dead, etc.

A big, beautiful pictoral of the DC Universe. Half the price of the list at the bookstore in the mall. Great!!
