This is the one book about the joker every batman fan should have it has a great story wonderful artwork and lots of ultra violence it also has the most haunting scene ever with barbara gordon getting shot and paralysed. the mind games and conversation between batman and his number one foe are a step above what others have done with these two over the years highly recommend a fantastic read

This is a great, edgy read. It's hard hitting and maniacal, and no doubt a milestone in the medium. It's also very compelling, certainly the type of book you'll read in one sitting.
The story is psychologically intense and contains scenes of derangement that are a little chilling. It goes into territory that is a very serious, very dark arena.
And the joke at the end is a killer ...

This is a GREAT story line - but I can't believe the pricing. I found that this ENTIRE story-line is included in the "DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore" that is available on Amazon for 1 more dollar. It also includes other Batman stories, a couple Superman stories, a couple Green Lantern stories, and a few others. It is a Steal of a deal compared to this - about 5X as many pages for 1 dollar more. Granted - it has a different cover since that one is a compendium of other stories, they are all from Alan Moore.

Excellent Batman story. Alan Moore's writing is brilliant and like The Dark Knight, gives you an insight into the Joker's twisted mind prior to going totally crazy.
Especially (as it's shown everyday in the world we live in today), day in and day out, sometimes all is takes for someone to totally lose it is one bad day.
Short read, but a must have for any Batman fan.
