Alex Ross first came to my attention not with MARVELS but rather with his work in KINGDOM COME. Although sometimes criticized for providing an overly-simplistic conclusion for the heroes, I have always enjoyed Ross's fine work.
The JUSTICE series serves to prove how much he has grown in the tales he weaves, bringing in some old favories with new ideas.
Now with Alex Ross's SUPERPOWERS series comming out this month, I can barely contain my excitement! Bringing back heroes & villains from WWII that have not been heard from in years (Fighting Yank, The Green Lama , The Black Terror, Frankenstein and The Flame) we all have reason to celebrate - and I for one cannot wait to see his take on these classics.
Worthy of note, Alex Ross's SUPERPOWERS series "F-Troop" is loosely based on the classic horror work by Dick Briefer, The Monster of Frankenstein. If you cannot wait for F-Troop's release, and have not already done so, pick up The Monster of Frankenstein graphic novel - you will not be disappointed!
Looking forward to another fine year of Alex Ross projects!

3rd in a trilogy. And just as beautiful to look at as it is to read.

My son received Justice, Vol. 1 for Christmas. Just recently, he received Justice, Vol. 2 and Volume 3 for his birthday. He has really enjoyed them.
