Frankly, I was not expecting a very cerebral story... it was supposed to be a good ol' fashioned head butting.
And what a great chance to see all those combats we've always speculated about... Who's stronger? Superman or The Hulk? The outcome of each combat was decided through fan voting. The most popular character would always win. Fair enough. But then we come to the real problem...
All these combats are sloppyly crammed (far too many combats that were not really necessary or vital are there for no reason), and so, duels that should have been epic and deserving of a whole issue are solved in a few panels. Take Superman vs. The Hulk. We could have had a Doomsday-like combat, but nope, it's all resolved pretty quickly.
The worst case, though, is Lobo vs. Wolverine. It's the lamest, unbelievable combat I've ever seen. It's all resolved in a panel, and we don't even see how it happens because they're both out of sight. I mean, we're talking about Lobo, someone who kicked Superman's behind.
Dan Jurgens' mediocre pencilling skills suffer in comparison with Claudio Castellini's. Claudio should have pencilled the whole crossover. Dan Jurgens should stick to writing. Without inkers like Jerry Ordway, Jurgens' limitations become almost embarrasingly obvious.

Why is it going for $95? Is it out of print or something? I got it for list price just last year!

Superman vs Hulk, Batman vs Captain America, Green Lantern vs Silver Surfer, Thor vs Captain Marvel, Thanos vs Darkseid, all this and more, what else can you ask from a comic book?.
The Story: could have been better but four issues is a very small space when you are writing something this big. It's worth mentioning that there are many funny momments when other caracters collide, Bullseye vs Batman, Gambit stealing the Batmovile, the Scarecrows kidnapping Louise Lane, Clark Kent and Peter Parker working for the same newspaper, the one thing I didn't like was the "Amalgam Universe". About the fights the best by far is Superman vs Hulk, Wolverine vs Lobo it's desapointing. If the results were based on powers not popularity it would have been kite diffrent.
The Art: Claudio Castellini is marvelous, the details, the anatomy, the carcters personallity... everything looks perfect. Five stars for him.
Dan Jurgens: not as good as Claudio Castellini but not bad.
In conclusion the story is decent, the art is great and every major caracter from the DC and Marvel universe is there, so the book is extremly enyolable.
