400% BETTER THAN THE FIRST SUPERMAN SERIAL. IF THE SPECIAL EFFECTS WERN'T SO CHEESY, THIS WOULD BE 5 STARS. LYLE TALBOT AS LUTHOR STEALS THE SHOW. AFTER HEARING KIRK ALYN SAY "THIS LOOKS LIKE A JOB FOR SOOOOOPERMAN" A FEW TIMES YOU'LL REALIZE WHY GEORGE REEVES IS THE DEFINITIVE SUPERMAN.
Rating: - First great screen battle of 'superman' and 'lex luthor'
I have this movie in my video library collection,along with "superman-the complete 15 chapter serial","Suerman and the Mole men"with Ggeorge Reeves, and all 4 Chris Reeve "Superman'films. This is the first on screen battle between 'superman' and his arch-nemesis 'lex luthor'. Lyle Talbot is magnificent as 'luthor'. Kirk Alyn again plays 'the man of steel' in this sequel to his first 'superman' movie.
Rating: - not the best ever ,but it's unforgettible.
I took a gamble on this movie, knowing that many old superhero movies could be old and pathetic. And when I saw this movie it was very good, sure the special effects are bad and the animated flying is low-tech I highly recommend this flim ,
