The performances on this CD are very powerful. The selection of scores with the exception 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY is very representative of the genre of Science Fiction Adventure films. Bill Broughton's talents really show off on his outstanding presentation of JURASSIC PARK. It is very majestic. THE ROCKETEER and BATMAN are real showstoppers. They deliver a real punch and sound terrific. John Williams' compositions for STAR WARS, RETURN OF THE JEDI, SUPERMAN and E.T. are also well presented here. I think Broughton captured Jerry Goldsmith's ALIEN in this digital recording much better than on the original Fox LP soundtrack. Next to the MUSIC FOR MURDER Compact Disc, this is Bill Broughton's and the Orchestra of the America's best album.
