I LOVE this album. Yes "love" is definately and infinitely the word. Since 1996 I've probably listened to this album all the way through 25 or so times each year and I have a collection of over 500 cds. The only song here that I am not crazy about is "So Wrong" but other then that they are all highlights. Yeah if you have an affinity for the industrial rock genre you need to pick this up. Dark Days (their following album) leans a little more toward the loud industrial type which usually I tend to enjoy more but this one remains a perfect blend of industrial and hard rock throughout the length of the album, and I guess I'm just a sucker for perfect things.

I enjoyed this album. I would have liked it to have been longer than it was but Darkest Days makes up for that with sixteen tracks I suppose. I enjoyed the harder songs most. I Don't Believe, Shame, Falls Apart, So Wrong, and Why are probably my favorites. Sleep is a very depressing song about sexual abuse that really makes you think. The album is great as a whole though and I am glad I purchased it. Though the album may not be for everyone. If you like Stabbing Westward's style then you will enjoy this.

no band is better than stabbing westward when you're just having a horrible day. This cd isn't as good as Darkest Days, but it's more raw and more upset, at least in some ways, in my opinion.

Dark lyrics along with great arrangments and a solid rhythm section, you get Stabbing Westwards' second album, the immensly popular 'Wither,Blister,Burn & Peel'. Every song is very well crafted with heavy parts, quiet parts and just rocking parts. Every song back to back is very solid with absolutly NO fillers. Many sing along pieces and catchy riffs through out. A definite addition to anyones collection.
