- Great soundtrack, one of Williams best!!!
This is an excellant addition to the John Williams collection. There is some music from the film that is missing from the soundtrack, but overall it is a great listen. I just wish the soundtracks to the other Superman movies were available. They are not the same but are good as well.

Superman has probably some of the best music ever made for a movie. All of the tracks on this cd are fabulous in both their originality and their appropriateness. The main title is probably one of the most powerful compositions I've ever heard (outside classical music). If you appreciate John Williams work then you HAVE to get this cd. Turn off the lights, switch on the cd and let yourself drift away...

This is not just a Soundtrack but a musical tour. Star Wars Soundtrack is also good but it is somehow like a collection of masterpieces. Superman is not just a collection but a masterpiece itself. I have heard the most important Soundtracks he made and I can say that it has the first place in my disk collection. Superman, ET, Star Wars, Indiana Jones are the best scores Williams made (in that order). It worth for me.

The Superman soundtrack is the best I have ever heard. John Williams is my favorite composer. I think this may be his best yet. This tops Star Wars and any other movie he has ever done. With the Superman soundtrack you can feel the power of the main title, the eerieness of the Destruction of Krypton and the peacefullness of the Love theme. If you have seen the movie you know what a powerful soundtrack it has.

John William's Superman: The Movie soundtrack is a superb album that takes you through a wide range of emotions and lets you re-live the movie in all it's glory. The powerful "Main Title", the eerie "Destruction of Krypton", and the inspiring "Leaving Home" all go to show you how amazing John William's and his music really are.
