This is not only a must have for any science fiction fan, but also for any audiophile. This CD contains the clearest and most "alive" recordings I've ever heard. I used the the Star Trek Motion Picture Theme as the test track when shopping for high quality main speakers a few years ago. Now I intend to use it for testing the accuracy and dynamic capacity of sub-woofers. Telarc has thoroughly impressed me with this production.

It's a shame not many people are lucky enough to stumble accross this cd. "Time Warp" is the golden masterpiece for any sci-fi audio enthusiast and an unprecedented addition to any home library; great classical!

This is one of the most impressive recording i've ever heard. Full Dynamics of the recording can bring your speakers to their knees. It contains the science film music favorites of all times. The first music is a cool synth to amaze your friends and the Star Treek music is a must!

I first heard this CD in 1988, and haven't heard one as dynamic since. Try to find a DDD recording containing both the Zarathustra and Blue Danube tracks in addition to the comparatively newer Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica songs---it can't be done! Bass notes will challenge even the best subwoofers, so heed the warning on the front of this CD, lest one of the all-time great classical recordings becomes a speaker killer. A must have if you want to 'see what your system can do'.
