Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - They Do it Again
Ok so it's not like the first album wasn't amazing enough.
Amazing-10/10 A great song to jump aroung to
Wounded-10/10 A greatly written song
10 Days Late-10/10 Very catchy and maybe some guys can even relate to it
Never Let You Go-10/10 Very good reason to listen to this song.
Deep Inside of You-10/10 Amazing!
1000 Julys-10/10 A get-up and move song
An Ode to Maybe 9/10 The beginning is my favorite part but i never listen to the rest of it really
The Red Summer Sun 8/10 Definitly not my favorite
Camouflage- 9/10 Good song but I never really listen to it
Farther 10/10 A sing along
Slow Motion (instumental)-10/10 Even though it's not the whole explicit song it's still good.
Darkness-10/10 Great song
Darwin 9/10 A little weird but it makes me wonder.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - They're trying too hard
I think on this album the guys of 3EB were trying to be something they're not. For instance, if you talk about rock, some people may say "Third Eye Blind? Man, that's not real rock!" But instead of the band doing what they usually do, it appears that they're giving in to the criticism.

But there are some good moments on this album. The standout songs are the singles, like "Deep Inside Of You" and "Never Let You Go" ("Anything" is aiight too, I guess). But my favorite song would have to be "10 Days Late", which a lot of people probably don't know was a single too (it was released after "Never Let You Go" and then "Deep Inside Of You" came out a month later).

The problem with this album is that the guys seem to be focusing too much on the music and not enough on the lyrics. In most cases, the music is so loud that you can't even tell what they're saying; also, the music on the songs starts to sound the same after a while. And another thing, who told Stephan that singing in a Steven Tyler-esque fashion on "The Red Summer Sun" was a good idea?

One more thing that's weird about this album is the hidden track. Now we know that some albums hide the hidden track sometime after the last real track, thus you have to fast-forward through some space, but fifteen minutes of space is too much. In the end, this album has its moments, but as they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Diiferent, But just as good
IT was no surprise to me how good the album was, when they first released it i knew it was pure gold. Now this CD has a much different sound on most songs than their first album. It seemed to me that they were experimenting with new styles and believe me the experiment was a succes. Again Stephen blew me away with his amazing song righting abilities, Aaron has only gotten better, Brad is one of the most talented drummers i have herad (and i am a drummer myself) adn Kevin Cadogan brought it all together with his a mazing riffs and leads (its ashame he had to leave). The CD has all you need: the hard overdrive riffs to fufill your dark side but some softer and some slower songs to even it all out for a beautiful mix of songs.
The CD blows you out of the gaits right away when the short opening "Anthing" comes blairing out of your speakers. it is to be followed with a beautiful and amazing ballet "Wounded" (i great mixture of fast and slow pase music). Before you know it youve been sucked into the amazing leads and riffs of Kevin Cadogan; the feeling is almost sareal.
The only thing that disapponited me was their first single off the ablum "Never Let You GO" it was purely a radio song. its simple repedative riffs along with the high pitched singing almost made it annoying after a while but not terrible.
AS I said before this albumb is a much different style than the first they threw in strange distorted songs like "darwin" but kept much of it to their harder rock with the heavy "1000 Julys". This made for an amazing mixture and variety of songs that keeps you coming back for more. I would have to say the CD comes to a climax at their 8th track "the red summer sun" This is amazing song from its crazy leads and beats to its wacky singing its is the most experimental and best song on the Album. It sounds like the guys just let loose on it and had some fun and that gave a good raw sound to it.
3eb has definatly still got it and you should not hesitate to pick up this albumb. I am anxiously awaiting the release of the next albumb and im planning on hearing some great new stuff. it should be interesting now that the band has a new guitarist but i don't think that will take anything away from the amazing music the have come out with.
They're a great band that u have to listen to if you have'nt already. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and i hope ....i mean i know you will love the ALbumb

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Pound for pound as good as teb1
You will not get tired of this CD. Third Eye Blind is very good at taking deep, dark lyrics and blending them with upbeat riffs. So, unless you have listened to Velvet Underground thirty years ago... as complained by a previous reviewer, you will not be disappointed by this CD. The subject for "Darwin" is one of the most original in a rock song period. "Wounded" is one great ballad. There are many mood changes on the CD and this disc has had a permanent residence in my car CD changer for the last 12 months!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - BEST ALBUM EVER!
I bought this album a month ago, and I have listened to it atleast once every day. I still love every song and I love each one even more every time I hear it! Buy this album! You WON'T be disappointed!
