The first time I got this record, I hated it. But a few weeks ago I listened to it again, and I was like, holy crap dude!! Third Eye Blind has away of cramming a ton of [well written] lyrics over their music while still allowing it to flow well. "Wounded" and "10 days late" are two of the best songs I've ever heard in my life.

Not as great as the meotionally-mixed-up first album, but touching nonetheless. This album directly addresses life's trials and tribulations. it, like most sophomore albums, is over-studioed. this aspect fades a bit with the third album, but it seems to work with the style of most of these songs.

Third Eye Blind is indeed an underated band. Most have dismissed them as a "pop" from hearing their various radio hits. That is wrong this band can rock.
I have seen 3EB in concert twice and they are incredible performers. This is their best cd out of the three.
The album "Blue" has a great sound to it. It is definently darker than the previous album, which is a good change. From start to finish this cd rocks.
The best songs on the cd are Anything, Wounded, 1000 Julys, The Red Summer Sun, and Darwin.
Third Eye Blind is a very talented band and If you have Not heard any of their songs besides the radio hits, or if you just want a great rock cd pick up "Blue" by Third Eye Blind.
It takes a couple listens to get in the cd, but you will be happy you bought it.

The first cd seemed to hook me in from the first listen and after dozens of spins I truly discovered it's greatness. This, the follow up cd, is different in that it didn't hook me in right away. For a long time I came away from this cd disapointed but eventually the fact that this cd is great caught me. This cd is a lot louder than the first, and it does that well. Where it tends to fail is that the album seems to be very expiramental and studio driven, and sadly it doesn't really have any of the softer stuff that was great on the first one. There are no Background's or God of Wine's on this cd (Slow Motion [the version with lyrics in it] and Camoflage seem to be the closest things but while good songs neither catches 3EB at their greatest), which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5, but this cd still has many great songs by third eye blind and is one of my favorite cds. Wounded is one of the best songs 3EB has made and the louder, more hard rock sound is a welcomed addition. I highly suggest you pickup this excellent and extremly underrated cd by an excellent band. Don't give up on it too quick because it will grow on you like it did on me. Perhaps it's unfair to compare it to the first cd (which is a classic), and maybe if it was by anyone else I would give it a five star rating but I just can't put it up there with the very best (having a 4.5 star rating would be nice).

Now I didn't like this album as much as Third Eye Blind's debut, but then again, nothing can compare the that album. If this album didn't have to live up to the first albums reputation, it would have been superb. Im not saying it's bad, it's far from it. It's just not as good as the first. The boys from 3EB go for a little less rocking out this time around. But they still please. With songs like Anything, Never Let You Go and 1000 July's they've proved to me the first album wasn't just luck, they are a band who plan to stay around a while.
