I'd never even heard of this band but heard their new song "100 years" and was disappointed to see the cd didn't come out for another month. Soo.... I looked at their other cds and bought this one. I LOVE it, one of the best bands I've heard in a long time, great sound. If you like upbeat, pop music that you can move to, this is it.

This album contains incredibly whiney, self-absorbed lyrics, elementary guitar riffs, barely mediocre bass lines, and vomit inducing piano melodies. Anyone who might even consider purchasing this collection of "tummy-ache tunes" had better rack one's brain in order to find the origin of stupidy and lack of good taste. Five For Fighting should take five (at least) to improve his pre-pubescent voice and musical talent (or lack thereof) and contemplate his undeserved fame.

This CD is awesome! My family was separated for a while, (We were considering moving to AZ and my dad was living there alone to see how we'd like it.) my dad was living in AZ and everyone else in New York. One day my dad heard Superman on the radio. He fell in love with it. He immediately bought the CD. Now my entire family loves it! The stand-outs are Superman, Jainy, Bloody Mary, Easy Tonight, Love Song, Out of Love, America Town, Boat Parade etc. (They are not in opinion order.)Anyone who doesn't like this CD is INSANE! Note: Superman was #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart for approx. 67 weeks. Almost no song can live up to Superman. Get this CD as soon as you read my review...It's worth it! Also, check out their newest single 100 Years. THe album it is on (The Battle for Everything) will be out February 3, 2004. Other artists to check out are Matchbox Twenty, Michelle Branch, Sheryl Crow, and Jewel. But for Jewel, please, please, please only get Pieces of You, and This Way. If there are any other old ones those too. DO NOT get her newest, 0304. You will be terribly disappointed it is basically Britney Spears' clone! Note:I am 10, am not into the teenybopper thing like so many people seem to have as a prejudice for girls my age. It is not true. I can't stand Britney Spears! Thanks! Again get America Town by Five for Fighting, it's the best!

This is so different from a lot of music out there today because IT ACTUALLY MEANS SOMETHING! Every song has a special meaning, a different meaning, to everyone who listens to it. This CD is wonderful. The vocals are amazing. The band writes all of their own songs. This CD should be given far more recognition than it is getting. It doesn't compare to Justin Timberlake or Xtina because its far more phenomenal. This album will touch the hearts of all of its listeners. I strongly recommend if you like Counting Crows that you purchase this!

This album is an absolute must have to any music collection. The melodies are fantastically accompanied by tremendous lyrics. John Ondrasic is a unique musician by today's standards (similar to Dave Matthews, John Mayer) in that he possesses both a talent for writing and playing music.
John writes beautiful music, with hidden gems like 'Do You Mind' and great jams including 'Out of Love' and 'Alright'.
I would also highly recommend Message for Albert!
