This is the rap counterpart to a Cowboy Bebop or Ghost in the Shell soundtrack. Absolutely mind blowing production and lyricisism, this is the direction hip hop should be taking in the 21st century. Music videos anyone ?

I got this album the day it came out, but sold it when I sold almost my entire collection during a rough patch in my life about 3 years or so ago when I needed a lot of money... the other day, I was watching TV in the breakroom at work and recognized track 2 in the background of a TV ad.
I was trying to place it - then remembered and said out loud, "Deltron 3030".
A black friend/co-worker asked if I had it and I replied, "not yet, but I will by Friday."
He then asked if I could burn it for him.
In the time we were sitting in the breakroom, I told him that when I first heard it, I liked it, but wondered if I liked it just because I was white (and because most of the people I played it for who liked it were as well) or because it was just a really good album.
He said it was good/impressive/insightful (I can't remember the exact word he used) that I thought about it that way, and I got my answer (from the question I posed to myself at the time) about 5 and a half years later.
I knew there was something special about this album - thanks Pete!

Probably the best hip-hop album I've heard...well, nearly ever. Beats are absolutely amazing. Flow from song to song is great.
The only issue I have is, as another reviewer pointed out, the lyrical content is lacking. Then again, you can have fun in music and still churn out something sublime e.g Mozart's 'Magic Flute'.
Don't expect a critique of society or life in the ghetto. Expect artists at the peak of their game, creating something that comes across as made more for fun than anything else.
If you're anything like me, you'll never tire of this excellent CD.

Deltron 3030 is easily one of the best hip-hop albums you will ever hear. Everyone who listens to it just cant stop replaying the Deltron 3030 track over and over again, could even be the best album you hear all year the first time you try it out, which just goes to show why it is so popular. This is futuristic and inventive hip-hop that can easily beat mainstream works around the place and then ask for more. Not only are the lyrics as good as the very best but the music and background tracks are all sublime stuff, making the hairs prick up on your arms and neck. Yeah Deltron 3030 is easily the next best thing hip-hop has produced since Nas - Illmatic. Once you hear Deltron 3030 you will be off trying to get everything else Dan the Automator has done... and rightly so.

I heard so much about it. It's on the same level as Dr. Octagon, Dr. Dooom, and the Mr. Nogatco albums. Del and the Automator are awesome artists.
