Deltron 3030

In association with Amazon.com
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Deltron, and cast of genius need to push themselves further.
This album proves that Deltron and crew can spit and flow probably better than any other on this planet. The beats provide a high speed tech experience that can't help but physically effect the motor reflexes of the dancing shoes. My biggest complaint is that looking through a rhyming dictionary and Thesaurus to find 4 syllable voluminous buzzwords does not an intelligent song make. These songs sound great, but say nothing. Great if you want to listen and increase your vocabulary, but not useful for much else. With so many lyrics and messages such as "Increase your grey matter, for one day it may matter." I would expect so much more from these guys. What is it that they want to SAY, what message do they have? All tracks just ramble about how great Deltron is. That's just an interstellar ego trip. I'd like to see more songs like "The Repo Man" and "Pj's Projects" If you are going to flow, make a statement brother! When Deltron combines his masterful mic skills with an important message he could move mountains, and become a true musical genius.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Classic Hip Hop
It's been about four or five years since I was first introduced to the trio of Deltron 3030 (rapper Del the Funkee Homosapien, Dan the Automator and turntabilist Kid Koala) by a friend. This album hasn't gotten old for me yet. Deltron 3030 is the perfect mix of humor, deep lyrics, and beautiful beats.

Another reviewer described "Deltron 3030" perfectly when they described the album as a sci-fi cartoon brought to a turntable, because that's exactly what I feel when I play the album. Del's words/rhymes create a futuristic post-apocalyptic intergalactic wonderscape filled with the foreign and familiar. The best thing about Del's lyrics, though, is that the truths in this futuristic landscape can equally apply to the present days - and this is what makes this whole album a classic. It doesn't hurt either that Del's stylings are fun. His sense of humor is wonderful - and if you're like me, you'll find yourself not only dancing and enjoying the lyrics, but laughing aloud as well.

The Automator's arrangments are auditory poetry. One of the best hip hop/rap albums ever. I enjoyed this album much better than the stuff the Automator/Del did with the Gorillaz. Here's to hoping against hope that Koala, Automator and Del reunite to produce a second album.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - yo its 3030!
Talk about a hidden gem. I've never met another person that has even heard the name Deltron 3030. Nevertheless, this is probably the best rap CD ever created. Del Tha Funkee Homosapien is as usual in total control of his words and flow and uses his extensive vocabulary, add to that the always excellent beats and music of Dan The Automator, and ON TOP OF THAT, the top notching DJ-ing of Kid Koala, what else can you really ask for?

The opener "3030" is one of my favorites, despite its 7 minutes in length, you hardly seem to notice. "Things You Can Do", "Mastermind", "Time Keeps on Slipping", "Memory Loss", "Virus" and "Mastermind" are the songs I would consider my favorites, but there isn't a bad song here. Three guys who are the best at what they do coming together? Yeah, I like the sound of that.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THINGS YOU CAN DO.....one of them should be to COP THIS ALBUM!
This is seriously one of the craziest Hip Hop albums I've ever listend too. It all started when I heard of this little genious rapper named Del in The Gorillaz amazing "Clint Eastwood" track and soon went on a search to find more about this "Del" and soon found out he was part of a group called Hieroglyphics..So of course I baught the album and fell in love! Hieroglyphics just proved to be nothing more then Pure Hip Hop at its finest but I didn't stop there, oh no I didnt, I soon found out that Del did a collaberation with the music producer of Hieroglyphics Dan the Automator and a dj named Kid Koala...So of course I went to my nearest music store and asked for a special order(seeing how the cd seems hard to find)and after a few weeks i finally get a call saying they got it and i went and baught the thing ASAP...now how do I think of it?...

Freaking Incredible...

This CD go's beyond originality, this album has both complex and amusing lyrics with a futuristic backround to it and Amazing music/beats especially when Kid Koala does some of his scratches. The way Del flows along every song and rhymes like no other is just off the hook and Dan the Automator is a freakinb brilliant(the beats and music for "Mastermind" is awesome)and even the Skits arn't annoying!. But I wont bring up the concept or plot seeing how alot of reviews already explain it very well. But I'll rate every track(too lazy to write my opinion)

1.3030 - 1000000/5
2.Things you can do - 5/5
3.Positive Contact 3.5/5(DONT HATE ON ME I REALLY TRIED TO LIKE THE SONG!)
4.Virus - 5/5(Lots of political social commentary can be found here and alot of other songs)
5.Upgrade(MAN I love this song!) - 5/5
6.Mastermind - 1000000/5(My favorite track on the whole album tied with Memory Loss and 3030)
7.Madness - 4.5/5
8.Time keeps on slipping - 5/5
9.Turbulance - 4.1/5
10.Battle song - 4.1/5(Beats are good but the lyrics are great, bout Del entering and winning the rap battles)
11.Love Song 5/5(I donno why but I love this song alot for its laid back beats and lyrics and it feels cool to hear Del rap about him winning and getting his prize and of course...burnin some herb)
12.Memory Loss - 1000000/5(From the beats to Dels kickass lyrics this song is just freaking incredible and pumps me up all the time)

Now I'll admit there were a few songs I really didnt feel but the rest of the album is just amazing. The best songs are hands down "3030" , "Things you can Do" , "Mastermind" "Virus" "Upgrade" "Love Song" "Time keeps on slipping" and the grand finale "Memory loss"

If you like Hieroglyphics and loved Dels rappin in Gorillaz then by all means GET THIS ALBUM...I just love the lyrical flow that Dell drops and Automators brilliant music beats and of course the limited yet very memorable Kid Koala scratches that you'll find in songs such as "Memory loss" and "Mastermind" and a few others...

Great album 5/5

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - interspectacular, fantabulous, it'll blow your socks off
If you've read other reviews/heard your friends raving commentary you know the following about this cd:
the lyrics: original, humourous, awesome
the beats: funky as $hit, sick drums and samples
the overall sound: brilliant. unlike anything you've heard before.
But something that I think is worth mentioning which I still haven't heard enough about is the STORY. It's NUTS.

Imagine your favourite story as a kid. Now imagine it in a mind-blowing audio format set to innovative hip hop beats as you follow our hero Deltron Zero on his futuristic journey through the frightening world of the future, where new earth has become a repugnant place, you're caught in the grip of the city madness, and everybody wants to be an emcee/dj. In the year 3030 it's hard not to cheer for him the whole way through to the unparalleled climax of the intergalactic rap battle where Del proves he is truly the best emcee in the universe. I mean, they want to throw him in jail for being so good. Ridiculous.

The visuals that'll form in your mind from hearing this will stretch your imagination into the next millenium in ways you haven't felt since you were 4 or since your last life-altering drug experience. You'll listen to every track in the order that it comes but will notice that even on their own many of the songs are incredible. I honestly think this is perhaps one of the best cds I have ever heard because literally every element is so consistently excellent, and I could go on forever but the bottom line is if you've read this review, there's no better purchase you can make than this cd.

It's instupitutous.
