Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A severely underrated album
This is one of those classics that is well known and populat but never said in the same breath as disraeli gears or the band. it should be. the album is a clear stepping stone between cream and clapton's later project derek and the dominos.

can't find my way home is an elegantly understated majestic and pastoral song with steve winwood's most rousing and angelic vocals. had to cry today and sea of joy are two wonderful rock songs, which add fire to the rock riff (already rather dated by 1969) and do what you like has a great jam with two of the best solos heard by clapton or winwood on record - very psychedelic. presence of the lord has a great clapton vocal (i belive his first great vocal) and a brilliant hendrix inspired solo. sea of joy has great violin breaks by rick grech and well alright is a winwood vehicle - great piano solo but the weakest on the album.

all in all a very good album. oh and did i forget to mention - ginger baker's drumming is incredible throughout - great timekeeping and imaginative fills all over the place.

shame about the new cover but then, to be honest, the old one wasn't really that great was it? - and a bit odd considering all. i would urge you to get the vinyl original though - for some reason nearly all early clapton stuff (till mid-70s) is not as good on cd. especially cream - which loses the great rhythm tracks on stereo and more or less all their original verve on cd.

give it a whirl along with wheels of fire and layla for a full-on clapton experience from this era

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good Music eh...
Well Blind Faith is one of those side-project bands that stands the test of time. The band does nothing truly experimental or anything really extrodinary instead they just play standard, good, and solid rock music. Now this may not seem to be any great feat but in fact looking through the annals of history we see that few bands were able to conjure up an album that plays so well the whole way through. All of the songs are at the very least tolerable. Of course the album features the classic Bellbottom Blues, which I grant is a horrible title but it is such a great song. Furthermore the album is great for any occasion whether you want to play it as background music for a party or whether you want to space out to some good music this album is good for every single occasion.
Highly Recommended yet not essential.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Blind Faith Rocks!
I purchased this album in 1969 while stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force Base with the 379th Supply Squadron "Strategic Air Command" (SAC). Don't expect "The Cream" re-visited on this album OK? Clapton plays some great "licks" on his guitar and Ginger Baker is superb on the drums but without Jack Bruce, well it falls a little if not alot short album wise. It lacks a bit of flavor that only "The Cream" could make it. Sort of like "The Beatles" without John Lennon if you catch my drift! I would consider buying it again. If you are a true Clampton fan "buy it" if not you might be a little disappointed. In The Presence Of The Lord, is really the bright point on the album!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great stuff
This album has some kind of slow stuff, but the really good stuff outwheighs it. I see that they've changed the cover to be more politically correct.
Definitely good, I wish "Do what you like" had a shorter drum solo so that the could have fit more songs on the disc, but oh well.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I'm a believer
Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton are two of the most musicaly genious people ever. Now wonder the one album they made together is such a classic.

'Had to cry today' has an amazing riff

'Can't Find My Way Home' is sad and catchy

'Well Alright' By for the most pop savy song on the album, but certainly an entertaing one to listen to.

'Prescense of the Lord' The only song on the album Clapton wrote, and it is one of his many classics. Good lyrics.

'Do what you like' ok

This is an entertaing and exciting album.

Steve Winwood is a cool guy
Eric Clapton may be a mean SOB but can sure play the guitar
