Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Best Albulm, Ever
This albulm is, in my opinion the best album ever produced. Everyone should have this album, I don't care what kind of music you like. There are only six songs on the album, but the instrumentation, vocals and lyrics are all perfect. Each song has great lyrics, guitar riffs, etc. I believe that Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton and Stevie Woodwind are the greatest trio of artists ever to grace the stage at the same time. If you think that Eric Clapton was great as a solo arist, listen to this album and then think again. Most people know who Eric Clapton is but many don't know of Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos, or even Cream. Also many have not heard the incredible percussion of Ginger Baker or the overall musical talent of Stevie Woodwind. EVERYONE needs to buy this album, and I also highly recommend "Fresh Cream" and "Disreali Gears" by Cream.

From the opening riff of "Had to Cry Today," the soothing "Can't Find My Way Home," the upbeat "Well... All Right," The classic "Presence of the Lord," Magical "Sea of Joy," to the final chanting of "Do What You Like," this album absolutely rocks! Every song has the potential to become your favorite. I guarentee you will not be disapointed with this album.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Clapton is God here, so Winwood would be Jesus?
Good collaboration of Winwood, Clapton, and Baker. Now I wouldn't call them a supergroup, close. A super album, maybe. Can't Find My Way Home, probally stand out the most on this album, good acoustic on this track. Sea of Joy, good song. Had to Cry Today, pretty good but a little too long of a song of 8 min. should have been three or four. Anyways, if you like Traffic, and if you like Clapton, get this album, it's good for you.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The best record Clapton ever worked on, period
Eric Clapton has worked on several good records, but in my mind none beat Blind Faith's one and only album, aptly titled Blind Faith. Formed in 1969 after Cream's breakup, the group consisted of Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker (both from Cream), Steve Winwood (formerly of Traffic, while they had temporarily broken up) and Ric Grech (a respected studio musician).
The first cut to be found here is Winwood's Had To Cry Today, the best cut found on the LP with firey guitarwork by Clapton and nice heavy drums from Ginger. Next up is classic Can't Find My Way Home, another winner with some great lyrics and acoustic guitar. Well...All Right, the third tune, is my least favorite but still a great tune. Presence of the Lord, the album's other resident classic, is my third-favorite. How can somebody like me, somebody who doesn't really care about religon, be into a tune like this? I don't know, but it just keeps calling me back. Actually, the entire album does. Sea of Joy seems like something straight out of Traffic's book, very strange song. Lastly is the underrated Do What You Like, pretty much a long jam with some lyrics tacked on the beginning and end for good measure. The band stretches out and plays for over fifteen minutes, but the song (highlighted by the bass and drum solos) really holds my interest. It could've been my favorite, but no, they have to chant "Do what you like" over and over and over until your ears hurt. That, and a good minute could've been cut. But it's still a highly enjoyable track I must say! There's just one thing this album needs; a good blues tune. But that can be found on the Deluxe Edition (Which I only have half of) in the form of Sleeping in the Ground.
Essential Clapton listening.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - God's Helpers Shine
The Cult of Clapton tends to state that EC is the ultimate rock don who makes everything he touches, from the sheer power of his greatness. How is it, then, that all the great things he did were with other great people? Want EC w/out a great supporting cast? Go buy "Lay Down Sally." Not to knock him, he is one of the great guitarists of all time. But come on, most people say Cream broke up because Clapton was sick of Jack Bruce acting like the front man, and then he ended up in two groups that he only lasted one album with (this and Derek and the Dominoes). Of course, they are two of the greatest rock albums of all time. To his credit, Clapton clearly brings out the best in others, though this album testifies to the fact that they often bring out the best in him as well. For instance, to me, "Do What You Like" is one of the greatest songs in the history of rock and roll. It's written by Ginger Baker? Amazing. (And to his credit, EC has repeatedly acknowledged the fact that Ginger Baker is the most amazing drummer of all time.) Clapton's solo in "Do What You Like" is one of my favorites of his: fantastic playing and a beautiful tone with a haunting dose of reverb that really works.

Steve Winwood is an great vocalist, and it is truly hard to figure out why if you use the "American Idol" metrics. But on this album, the fusion of his bluesy style and the material, which is haunting and hypnotic, is just plain magic. From the opening bars of "Had to Cry Today," this album reverberates in a way that few other albums do and Winwood's vocals are a big part of that.

It continues to astound me how many people out there have not heard this record. Searing, unique, incredibly powerful album.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Trippin' all over
Here with Steve Windwood on vocals and what else to say. He has created one magical moment with the demi-god by side (Clapton). This album will put you up at the peak of psychadelism and will give you a brief recess in the middle with mellow tunes and vocal and again will put you high...I sometimes wonder how they used to compose these songs!!!!
