This is by far stereophonics best CD yet. The single Mr. Writer is excellent, providing a reason to check out the rest of the CD. Although i found out there were better songs such as "Lying in the Sun and "Vegas Two Times". Weakest song probably would be "Everyday I Think Of Money". ...

I just finished listening to the album for the second time in the three hours since I bought my copy and it's absolutely wonderful. This is an album for everyone who's sick of their overplayed radio songs but who's not looking for anything too cerebral. The album starts strong with the rollicking "Vegas Two Times" and ends with the moving "Rooftop". There is no "filler" on this record - in short, 11 songs, 45 minutes. The way a good album should be.

I recently started listening to the Stereophonics. This new CD is a great musical arrangment of catchy, quality tunes from a band that has standing power and integrity which you don't usually get in music these days. Kelly's vocals are distinctive, the lyrics are poetry and the music is awesome! I would recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys quality alternative/brit pop music which will be in your CD player for a long time.

I recently started listening to the Stereophonics. I think that their musical style and the arrangement of songs on this CD are outstanding. It's not often that you find a band which not only shines in musical talent but has strong integrity to boot. I would recommend this CD to anyone who likes alternative/brit pop music and wants to add a quality CD to their collection.

It can be very disquieting to watch a band you love grow. While our lives can change for better or worse, it's not permanently imprinted on a CD. When bands we love for certain sounds or hooks decide to move in another direction, it tends to leave us grasping at memories of "The Way We Were." (U2 comes to mind, when The Edge suddenly stopped playing his classic licks circa "Achtung Baby" and they suddenly went "pseudo-techno")
If you can't imagine Stereophonics without the garage band irreverence that throws the amps to 11 and shakes the speakers with anger (i.e., "Local Boy in the Photograph" or "The Bartender and the Thief"), then JEEP is probably not for you. However, if you were generally fond of their more reserved moments (i.e., "Traffic," or "Just Looking"), then JEEP will do you just fine.
Kelly Jones' voice is still agonizingly, scratchily beautiful, and the lyrics are still like a lost puppy -- cute and a little sad at the same time. But they've toned the tunes down a bit, mostly for the better. They've been playing garage music a looong time. They needed a break. Sit down and have a beer with them and just CHILL for a while! If chilling out with them sounds like a good idea, then this is the perfect album for you.
