I rate this as only 1 star because the marketing is basically false. This is not an EBTG album. This is an album mixed by one of the primary members of EBTG, Ben Watt. Sure, the songs were selected by Ben and EBTG's other frontperson, Tracey Thorn. So what?
I have no problem with dj compilations generally, but when a known band puts out a release like this, using their own name, I think it creates false expectations on the part of at least some listeners (as some previous reviews indicate).

First thing, this is a compalation of other artist, not EBTG. So don't be shocked. But I assure you if you like EBTG you will love this album. They basically said, as fans, this is the music we like to listen to when we're chillin, so we're going to put it on an album. The mastery of this album is how all the songs are mixed together with such ease that you don't even know when one track ends and the next begins. A couple of the tracks might sound pretty old-school (80's), as far as vocals, but they make it sound good. All I have to say is great work, and I hope they make a "Back to Mine 2".

I don't dispute the fact that this is a reasonably good "compilation" CD, however I am dissapointed that it does not contain any EBTG...! My fault for being so excited that a new EBTG album was out that I just bought it sight unseen!

The main reason that i got this album is because i had a gift voucher to use up which i had had for ages. I had got preety much everything that i wanted and i wanted to have something different for a change, so i decided to opt for this cd. My favourite tracks are Friends And Enemies, Bayou, Flow and Do It Now. I am glad i got this cd and i would recommend it to anyone

then a couple of pass through it at mid to high volume range made me change my mind. It is in fact a very good compilation in itself. I really don't care much for the artist therein but EBTG's hands were at work on this disc and it showed. A seamless production that deserves praise!
Are they ever going to release anything like their old material again???
