An excellent addition to the 'Back to Mine' series (Groove Armada's being another great one). For the goobers who reviewed this and were upset that it wasn't music by Ben and Tracy, I have only two suggestions: get over it AND what true ETBG fan wouldn't be interested in the music that B & T groove to in their spare time? Favs include the very non-chill Model 500 and Ananda Project and I couldn't help giving Carl Craig's 'A Wonderful Life' a spin or three when I read it was the 'primary influence' behind 'Big Deal' on 'Walking Wounded'.

I bought the first Back to Mine album with Danny Tenaglia, glad to peer into the mind of what inspires a great musician over the years. This mix by EBTG continues this creative series. Each song touches on a piece of a great EBTG song, and I can picture Ben and Tracey chilling out, getting inspired for future songs...a riff here, a groove there... False advertising? Absolutely not. This may as well be an EBTG album with Ben Watt seamlessly melding the beats together. Put it on, and relax, then go back and listen to your old EBTG albums with this in your mind.

Jez, I don't know how any consumer could look at the track listing and think this was a new EBTG album?? Go figure. Anyway this is a brillant, sensitive compilation but together by none other than the brillant and sensitive duo, Everything But The Girl. The chill starts and never stops. The only track that slightly upsets the mix is The Roots "Silent Treatment"--but in itself is great, just a little heavy on the uptempo for the rest of the mix. Favorites are Model 500 "The Flow", Beth Orton "The Stars all Seem to Weep (destined to become a classic), and the spine tingling track contributed by Mary Margaret O'Hara "To Cry About" (Whatever happended to her??). The thought put into this compliation is evident after the fist listen, the mixing is seamless. Get this! Summer has offically begun.

okay, okay this cd is not EBTG doing what they do best. I admit I too was a bit confused that they added their name to an album where they simply chose the songs for and do not even sing on. But man oh man this is a great cd. It took some time for me to get into it but the artists they chose are amazing . Iwas not to thrilled with the last song though. They state on the cd that they wanted to end the cd on a happy note. However, the somg by michael sweeney is a bit sad. GET THIS CD !

What is wrong with you people rating this a 1 or 2 star? HELLO???? Do your homeworks - the BACK TO MINE series is on of the best DJ mix series out there and the EBTG selection is luscious. Not the new EBTG album - yeah, no kidding. If you've followed them on their journey from "Eden" to "Tempramental" and stuck with them, hell, this is like hangin out with friends on a late night while they play you some of their fave tunes. A real treat.
