The Golden Hum is a grat Cd the first time I heard the song Save Me as the opening song of the WB Show Smallville I knew that I had to have this Cd. I loved it! All of the songs are great the songs have a great beat to it and it just puts you in a great mood this applies for all of the other CDs as well! If you like R.E.M then you will like Remy Zero. The Golden Hum is a great Cd and its a have to have. The lyrics are great and so is the beat. Its Awsome!!!!! :)

I have a standard for what I consider a "Perfect Album". I have to like every song on it and not skip any when I listen to it. The Golden Hum is only the third Perfect Album I've come across, the first being Soundgarden's Superunknown and the second being Live's Secret Samadhi. None of my favorite bands, including U2, INXS, The Police and many others, have put out Perfect Albums. There's always that one song that I don't like, I call those Perfect -1. Every song on this album is catchy and doesn't sound like any other song on the album. They're all interesting as well, I hate it when songs are repetitive and wear thin after the second chorus. Like many, I heard Save Me on Smallville, then Perfect Memory on Smallville and then got into Remy Zero, wish I had known about them earlier because Villa Elaine is also a very good album, haven't heard their first one yet. Buy this album!

Remy Zero is the Beatles of our generation. Thier songs are deep, haunting, and intense. This album is timeless. Our children will hear these songs and be singing them in the years to come. Songs full of darkness and hope, life and rebirth, anguish and love. Layers of vocals and music only accomplished by a few so masterfully intertwined and executed. An album that will stay in your cd player for months and in your collection for a lifetime and possibly generations to come.

Back when it came out, Villa Elaine (RZ's previous album) was my absolute favorite. I listened to it obsessively, and for a while it was the only thing in my cd player. And then Remy Zero kind of fell off the planet, and I moved on from Villa Elaine.
Then all of a sudden I hear a song on the radio... can it be? Is that... it IS Remy Zero! I immediately sought out this album, and I couldn't be more happy that I did. Cinjun has some of the most amazing vocals I've ever heard, and the band sounds better than ever. Remy Zero has really matured, musically speaking, delivering cleaner, more polished, but still intense and emotionally provoking songs throughout the entire album.
If you're looking for an album that's catchy, beautiful, yet still rocks and manages to be different from everything else, I definitely recommend this one. It's been living in my cd player for a few months now.
