After hearing RZ on Smallville I decided that I'd check out The Golden Hum. And what is it that I found? An excellent mellodic montage of audio pleasure. The thing I like most about the album is how certain tracks naturally seem to lull and blend into each other. Especially how the following song explodes into an upbeat pattern that spirals into some of the best music I've heard in a long while.

When I first heard of Remy Zero, I figured I'd buy their latest CD and see what I thought about it. I loved it, to put it simply. I went through a phase when it was all I would listen to, to the point where I now know every word to every track on the CD. I've let my friends and family listen to this fabulous band, and they've all given positive response. My wish is that someday Remy Zero will be well known and well liked. The WB show Smallville has helped them by using Remy Zero's hit single on this album, Save Me, as the theme song, and Remy Zero actually appeared in one episode as the band for Smallville High's spring formal, where they played my favorite song, Perfect Memory. The Smallville Soundtrack, which came out last February, featured Save Me, causing listeners to have a new interest in this band. Overall, Remy Zero is becoming better known and hopefully will be appreciated and loved by many many more people.

Remy Zero is one of those bands that have made a name for them selves while not going into the mainstream. Over the past three years ingeneral they have been picking up an undeniable fan base and with the release of "The Golden Hum" they have formed an acult following. None of this is without proper due. Remy Zero is one of the few bands today where you can find members that understand the theory of music. Combine that with exciting and meaningfull lyrics and you have one of the most promising bands of today. In a stage in music where catchy is all that producers and music listeners alike want, this is that band that many including myself have been waiting for.

Remy Zero is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. They are a crossover a U2, Bowie, and other rock artists. I first started getting into them with one of their best songs, Save Me from Smallville. From there, all the other songs like Bitter and Golden Hum show me that zero is more than just catchy lyrics and head poppin beats, its a very great band with lots of potential

Remy Zero's The Golden Hum is seriously one of the greatest cd's I've ever heard. All the tracks have sweeping melodies and Cinjun Tate's voice is practically angelic. In today's society where hits are just churned out as if from some mold or machine, every one of Remy Zero's songs is different, carefully created to appeal to one's ear. My particular favorite is the title track, "The Golden Hum." It doesn't have any words and is simply beautiful. The cd has a great mix of fast tunes and slow ballads. Songs like "Perfect Memory" just make you want to cry with the power that it reflects, and others like "Glorious #1," and "Out/In" are just really catchy and make you want to bob your head in time to the music. I'd go through and talk about every track if I could but others have already done that, and believe them as well as myself, this cd is one that is a MUST HAVE. It will redefine what music is to you and is worth every penny and then some.
