Some stuff is catchy, I especially like "Disappear", but mostly they sound the same as as myriad of other bands (default, creed, etc etc). If you like that stuff you'll like this. Personally I've had more than my fill of that sound. There is nothing remotely new here.

This forum looks as though some intern at the record label was tasked with writing 100 5 star reviews: "It grabs you by the throat and won't let go!!!" "This album is Grammy worthy." "Buy this CD!!!!" I wish they'd find something more useful to do, like take the money they overcharge me for the same old cookie-cutter [stuff] and go find and develop something new.

I have seen this band perform live three times and they are amazing. The songs on Soma Holiday offer a wide range of muical tastes and all have thought prevoking and meaningful lyrics. Ryan, the lead singer, has a unique voice, and brings emotions to the songs written by the band. These five talented guys deserve everything good that comes to them, they are awesome people with a great CD. They are a very unique band so I can't really compare them to any specific artists, but they have toured with Hoobastank, Our Lady Peace, and Default, so if that is in your taste, you will definately like Greenwheel's sound.

i can't say i was hooked by their music the first time i heard the whole album, but it did the 2nd and 3rd time i've played the cd.. greenwheel's music is refreshing yet giving a certain kick to the listener's ear. Breathe is just an amazing ballad while Dim Halo and Drowning Man simply rocks! other songs are great too like Sustain You, Shelter and Disappear, but the aforementioned tracks were the best! greenwheel may be one of the best new bands to debut in 2002 for me..just next to July For Kings.

I'll be honest....when I first heard of this CD, I thought it was gonna be another future-clearance bin CD. I had friends saying this was a good CD, so I decided to buy it. I listen to it, and instantly became hooked. "Breathe" is just an amazing ballad, and "Shelter" is great. They don't necessarily do anything new and different in their music, but they do what they do very, very well. They should be proud of their work, and we should all look forwards to the next Greenwheel album.
