Rating: - Whoever comiled this, should get an award.....
I'm not too sure that Smallville itself can get praise for this, but whoever chose the tracks for Smallville really did justice to the concept of a compilation. This is truely a unique and brilliant compilation of songs.
Rating: - Fantastic soundtrack!
One of the things that caught my attention and has kept it is the songs. This is a great album with a variety of artists that all seem to "flow" well together. Even though I've not heard of 50% of the artists on the album, I was truly surprised how much I did enjoy each of the songs.
Rating: - GREAT compilation CD
This is a really good CD that appeals to different tastes in music. New band Vonray (track #2) are great! I saw them while their were touring with Creed last summer and they ROCKED! Their song gets the album off to a great start. Can't wait for their first album to be released!!
Rating: - "Super" Album!!
You don't have to be a fan of the show to be a fan of this music. This soundtrack is a great compilation of relatively "known" and "unknown" artists. It's a great way to discover some new music that isn't bombarded at you by those Top 40 radio stations. Of course some predictable songs are on the album like Remy Zero's "Save Me" and Five for Fighting's "Superman", both of which are great songs. However, there are several refreshingly new developments. Eva Cassidy's haunting cover of "Time After Time" gives you a whole new respect for the song. Sixpence None the Richer also does a wonderful job with Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over". This is a very mellow, chill-type album for those rainy days when you just want to play some great music and relax. My only complaint is that there aren't enough songs on it! I really recommend it!
Rating: - great collection!!
Smallville has always been known for filling its episodes with great new music, and the recently released soundtrack does not disappoint. Providing an excellent mix, this is a must-have for Smallville and music fans alike!!
