I purchased this CD on a whim when I bought seasons 1-4 of Smallville on DVD. I never watched the series when it originally ran, but started catching it in reruns. It was pretty obvious that the background music was well thought out in order to compliment the storyline, and I found myself waiting for the end credits to see the names of the new musical artists. What a better way to sample the music than buy the CD? I just found myself on a roadtrip for 3 hours and managed to play the CD in a loop for the entire ride. There are some familiar mainstream favorites like Five for Fightings "Superman", but you'll also enjoy Eva Cassidy's interpretation of "Time After Time". The songs on the CD will be easily recognized from the show if you are a fan, but if you aren't and are just looking for something to enjoy on the road, I'd highly recommend this CD. My only disappointment is that it appears as though this is the only CD from the show's mix. The soundtrack includes: "Save Me"-Remy Zero (show's theme song), "Inside Out"-VonRay (excellent), "Island in the Sun"-Weezer (just plain fun), "Superman"-Five for Fighting, "Nuclear"-Ryan Adams, "Lonely Day"-Phantom Planet (kinda attaches itself to you), "Fight Test"-The Flaming Lips, "Don't Dream it's Over"-Sixpence None the Richer, "Wave Goodbye"-Steadman, "I Just Wanna Be Loved"-AM Radio (who doesn't?...and it's a blast to sing along with), "Everything"-Lifehouse (the shows familiar love theme--and a great song), and "Time After Time"-Eva Cassidy. I think a younger group will definitely enjoy, but the music is also a nice fit for my generation (late 30's). I have a friend who is waiting to borrow the CD...my guess is that a future purchase will ensue! Highly recommend.

The CD is pretty good. Features a few artists that you see on Smallville. I really got it because I wanted to hear more of the theme song. It's a typical WB soundtrack w/ the theme song and some light rock hits.

This was a great step for the TV show Smallville! The CD was great, with the classics, like "Time After Time" and "Don't Dream It's Over". Then came the sort-of Smallville themed songs, like "Save Me" and "Superman". And then, the WB added some songs that were played in the first season, like "Everything" which was the closing song for the first Smallville episode. I loved the album and I am sure it will be enjoyable for all ages. Very great car music, with some relaxing songs, and some that are great to dance to. With no question, I give this album 5 stars. Outstanding!

As I sit and stare at the CD case before me, I remember the four episodes out to date. The CD had some of the greatest songs of the television hit series. It didn't quite live up to my most favorite songs, but it still provided a good, eclectic selection from the show.
The CD also came with some pretty hot features (some of which you can now access online). They are worth checking out when bought with the twelve songs!
All I have left to say is, "Let's await the next!"

This CD is really awesome. I'd never heard of Remy Zero before I heard this CD & I was quite impressed. My sister is an obsessed Smallville fan, so I knew Superman & Save Me already. The tracks on this CD are all great & I hope to see the WB come out with another Smallville CD!
