The world's greatest team of superheroes will face their toughest challenge yet in the exciting animated adventure "Justice League: Starcrossed". A powerful armada from Hawkgirl's home world Thanagar has captured the members of the Justice League and seized complete control of the planet Earth. Now, Hawkgirl must choose between her loyalty to Thanagar or her strong friendship with the Justice League and the people of Earth. "Justice League: Starcrossed" is the first-rate three-part second season finale of the popular comic book series on Cartoon Network. Its amusing story holds up rather well and has a satisfying emotional finish. This solid 68-minute animated adventure contains some terrific comic book action, interesting characters, great use of dialogue and colorful animation. "Starcrossed" also includes the fine voice talents of Phil LaMarr (Samurai Jack), Elizabeth Peña (The Incredibles), Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville), Hector Elizondo (Chicago Hope) and Carl Lumbly (Alias).
If you're a fan of the Cartoon Network series, then "Justice League: Starcrossed" is a definite must-have DVD. Unlike the previous Justice League DVDs, the animated feature is presented in both full screen and 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen formats. The DVD contains a sharp video transfer and a great 2.0 Dolby Digital sound. Its supplemental features include the 8-minute "Hawkman: From Comics to Cartoon" featurette, deleted scenes, character biographies, a short tour of the Justice League Watchtower and trailers of other Warner animated titles. With its pleasant viewing quality, "Justice League: Starcrossed" earns a worthy "B+".

I love watching WB movies. You will never see an actor capable of portraying the sheer power of superman, or the voice as serious as Batman (Kevin Conrad). I recall the previous WB movies - namely batman (mask of the phantasm, return of the joker, mystery of batwoman) all well written to surpass the episodes in the series. This movie is no different. This is war, this is entertainment.
An advanced alien race comes to earth, to reveal not only a spy in the justice league and claim to provide protection from a hostile race, but also with alterior motives putting earth at risk. Like the darker episodes of the series, this is a fight to the last for all the justice league members, and for earth.
Yes, Batman is the coolest one of them all.

Actually, Cartoon Network aired the episodes this Memorial Day weekend, but it was thought that episodes wouldn't air until after the DVD. These episodes were definitely worth the wait, because it's easily one of the most epic stories you'll find in superhero cartoons. While there's a lot of great fights scenes all over the three episodes, there's also a ton of wonderful character interaction, including a few scenes that totally change the status quo of the group forever.
The other reviewers have already given you a very good idea of the plot, where Hawkgirl's fellow Thanagarian soldiers arrive to help Earth against an alien invasion. I'm also going to add that Wonder Woman fans will want to check this one out, because the Amazing Amazon really shines here more than she normally does. The ending isn't really overhyped, because it definitely sets up the new Justice League Unlimited series quite nicely.
It was great on TV and I'm sure that it'll be great on DVD, espeically with all of the reported extras that are said to be added!

Without a doubt the BEST JL EVER!! The fights, the script and the tragedy of the Green Lantern and Hawk Girl romance--excellent. Not to give away too many spoilers, but the revealing of secret identities in this was amusing and thoroughly enjoyable. Can you say sleep over at Wayne Manor?
I definitely look forward to the new season and would APPRECIATE IT IF WARNER BROS WOULD HURRY UP AND PUT OUT SEASONS 1 AND 2 ON DVD!! Thank you.
Great job, Bruce Timm!
