I saw Mark Joseph in concert in London in 2005. He was the opening act for UK band Ocean Colour Scene. I had flown from the US for the show, and wasn't very interested in the opener. As soon as Mark took the stage and started the first song, I was hooked! I went to Oxford St. the next day and bought this cd. Every song on it is amazing. Great melodies, hooks, and lyrics that stay in your head for days after! Do yourself a favor and buy this cd now. Worth the price of an import. Fans of great music will not be disappointed!

Just received my copy of "Scream" in the mail today, and save for the fact that the "extra tracks" label was misleading (I have no extra tracks!), the album is an aural treat. Listening to one of my "Pandora" stations about a month ago, my ears perked up to "Lady Lady," one of the most intoxicating melodies I have heard in a long time. From that moment, Joseph had me, and his album fails to disappoint. If you are a fan of densely-melodic pop/rock music (mellotrons and organs, too!) with sweeping orchestral swells and hard-to-get-out-of-your-head choruses, order this CD now! And the boy can sing!

I first heard Mark Joseph when his song "Fly" was featured on an episode of Smallville. The hooks of that song really stood out...so much so that I went to the WB's website to find out who the song was by. Never heard of Mark Joseph before, but after listening to song samples from his "Scream" CD I decided to purchase it. Very impressive. "Scream" contains mostly mellow acoustic-type songs that are very catchy. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what his "sound" is, but there are definite Beatles and Billy Joel influences in the style and singing, particularly with the harmonies. Some people may find that his style isn't varied enough on this CD, but each song really grew on me. Very impressed by this new talent, and very surprised I haven't seen a U.S. release for this yet. Mark Joseph's "Scream" is a CD worth checking out.

I think this is a great CD. Some of the songs get a little old after a while, and a few are a little too punk- rockish and harsh. My favorite best songs are FLY and BRINGING BACK THOSE MEMORIES. I think Mark Joseph is great, especially since he writes his own music, even though he's not that well known. I would definetly recommend this CD!
