Still Not Getting Any...

In association with Amazon.com
Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Still not getting any good music
This is a diaster of a band. Please don't waste your money on this band. they shouldn't call themselfs punk-rock. this should be called lame-pop. most of the songs are just them winning about their proplems, but only they haven't got any proplems they are rich spolled brats. So if you want to waste your money on this C.D you might aswell buy some $15.00 bubblegum.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Still And Never Will
Haha these guys are bad. Or more like these girls are bad. The singer is so annoying and feminine whining about her girlish issues wishing she really was what she likes to think she is, a guy. Oh boo hoo, life must be so hard for you money making whiny babies. I am sure you're almost poor with the loads of money you probably get from your parents like spoiled rotten brats. Go get some real problems next time.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Avoid this album for your own sake
I'm an open minded music listener, but I just can't stand listening to this sh*t. It makes me feel like I'm going to die every time I listen to them. The music is awful and annoying. The vocalist sounds like he has got his balls cut and the rest of the band just don't got any talent at all. My friends and ppl around me always play this crappy music and claimed that, Simple Plan is what punk rock is and "Welcome To My Life" is punk rock masterpiece (holy sh*t!!!). These guys are just a bunch of posers who had poluted the music world with their whinny music. They don't deserve the word 'punk' and isn't a rock band at all. Simple Plan sucks!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One Of The Best Albums I've Heard
This album has a lot of depth to it. Like the songs 'Welcome To My Life' what mostly every teen goes through these days, 'Crazy' the truth about what's going on in the world, 'Untitled' talks about drunk driving and really opens your eyes to that topic and makes you think, 'Shut Up' proving that you can say what you want and it's not going to get to you, and my personal favorite 'Me Against The World' talking about being yourself. There's the debate out there about what's "Punk" Does it really honestly matter? This CD is great. Sure Simple Plan's music is a but more poppyish, but that really doesn't matter. Honestly does the genre, or the way it sounds matter? Sure it's different from their debut album 'No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls' but that's what made me love it. The guitars, the drums, the lead vocals of Pierre Bouvier, and the back-up vocals of David Desrosiers and Sebastien Lefebvre make this album outstanding. I bought it the day it came out and listened to it as soon as I could. The only words I could utter was 'Wow', and to this day I still utter that word, because honestly I could never get tired of listening to it, and this really is one of the best albums i've ever heard.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Where will this end?
This recent trend in radio-friendly emo and pop-punk is getting quite annoying, and it couldn't be better exemplified than with Simple Plan.

It's not the fake punk image that bothers me since a punk-pop album of high quality has actually been proven possible with Green Day's "American Idiot." All the blame lies with the flimsy musicianship, and what flimsy musicianship it is. None of the catchiness lasts past a few listens. After that the songs get very tiresome and repetitive. The vocalist is weak and sounds raspy when he heightens in pitch.

Another major fault is the lyrics. None of the lyrics are at all original or interesting. We've all heard the swill about teen angst and broken relationships too many times before. Why do all of these rock lyricists today seem to have the same problems? Not only that, but the style is so incredibly bland and is devoid of any subtlety or creative means of expression. They just say what's on their minds outright and expect us to feel it. A prime example would be the track "Welcome to My Life." Poetry is more than just meter and rhyme.

I will bump my rating up by one star for the surprisingly decent song "Untitled," even though the rest of the CD doesn't deserve it. I yearn for the days when MTV was a breeding ground for interesting new artists and not some corporate powerhouse that tried shoving this manufactured tripe down our throats.
