This show is in a league of its own. The adroit wit that emanates from every line and gesture from every character on this show is absolutely pure genius. The situations on the show truly mirrored some of the inane everyday occurrences in life and showed their hilarity.
Season 4 contains many wonderful episodes, including The Contest--my all time favorite episode. It is one of the most beloved episodes because of the adept way it jests at something in our human nature that still embarasses many. It's absolutely hysterical every time I watch it, and I've seen it many times. If you're looking for one season of Seinfeld that really encapsulates the essence of the show, this is it.

Without a doubt, this has to have been one of the dumbest shows ever to air on network television....until reality TV came along. How this series ever went for eight seasons is beyond me, and why someone would waste their money on actually PURCHASING or PRODUCING this trash on DVD truly is beyond comprehension. This whole series should have been left in the past to be forgotten. Seriously, who of this cast has had ANY career since the show's cancellation?

This sjhow was so great it is hard to say which season was the best. This one is a strong contender. The fact that the "could be the best episode" is in the season it is a must have. What episode am I talking about?......The Contest! of course...but you know that.....didn't you?

I don't have this season on DVD yet, but seeing what my favorite episodes on here are, "The Contest" The Bubble Boy" and The Airport". The latter being my favorite episode ever. In Australia these episodes came out on video in the order i mentioned. I can't seem to stop watching them. Especially "The Airport", that cracks me up everytime. I love the scene where Jerry is sleeping in first class an Elaine comes in to go to sleep, and you can see the sarcastic sleeping look on his face on having the advantage of being in first class, and Elaine having to suffer sitting next to an oger of a man in economy class. The funniest scene is where Jerry says "I'll take the first class". then Elaine says "Jerry!" Seinfeld replies, "What?" Elaine Replies, "Why should you get first class?" He replies, "Elaine, have you ever flown first class?" she replies "No" he replies, "Alright then, see you don't know what your'e missing, i've flown first class Elaine i can't go back to coach, i can't, i won't!" Elaine replies "You flew here coach!" He replies, "Yeah that's a point" She replies "Alright fine, i don't care! The plane crashes, everybody in first class is gonna die anyway!" Seinfeld closes the disagreement by saying "Yeah i'm, sure you'll live!". Best episode ever.
