I've ordered all of the Looney Tune DVD Releases and am delighted that they were released. I've enjoyed them as much as the grandchildren have.

This set is filled with GREAT cartoons from the past. Hours of incredible footage of CLASSIC short features from the gods of cartoon. I want more foghorn leghorn, but definitely not disappointed. I could do without Whooppie G's politically correct preamble warning about violence and racism though. I can't seem to bypass it, everytime I view the CD.

I have always loved Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes and am overjoyed that they are on DVD, however, the framing of this set is strange. I understand aspect ratios, fullscreen and all that, but why are the edges of the frame cut off? Headline banners in "Rebel Rabbit" are cut off at the sides, so the full headline is not there. In "Daffy Duck Slept Here", the bottom of the frame is cut off. It seems like a good percentage of the frame is simply not there. Is there a widescreen version of the disc that allows you to see what the animators drew? That wouldn't make sense, since they didn't draw them in widescreen. I don't understand...
In any case, it is great to have these cartoons, but they are, sadly, not complete and not what was seen in the movie theatres.

For almost three years I have avoided commenting on this release, as I consider it the weakest of the DVD boxed sets released in the Golden Collection series. Disc 1 is certainly the weakest Bugs Bunny. The majority of cartoons on here are the recently reacquired Ted Turner-owned films which do not do much for me personally. Disc 2, a collection of Hollywood parodies, does not have much to offer either. Disc 3 contains several early Porky Pig cartoons, but not enough. There should have been more. Finally, Disc 4's all-star selection is not as good as in the prevoius two-volumes. Overall the set suffers from way too many pre-1948 shorts. However, when seen from the prospective of being only a small part of a bigger whole (that is, the entire Golden Collection series), this package is essential.

As mentioned in my review posted for volumes 1 & 2, volume 3 is a smash hit!
