Kimmy's offbeat style offers a bluesy call and response that teaches vowels, a dino-riff on a classic Eric Carle book, and a fresh interpretation called "Toes, Knees, Shoulders, and Head." Our favorite: "Billy Goat Walk," features oodles of let loose vocal theatrics"

This effervescent approach to emphasizing preschool concepts through catchy songs is bound to be a hit in classrooms as well as with families. Kimmy's versatile voice often has an appealing blues-jazz edge, but she can rap, rock and do goofy Elvis-style impersonations and character voices with the best of them. The 20 brief selections here focus on such kid-centric and educational themes as making friends, colors, vowels, parts of the body, digging dinosaurs and boosting self-esteem. Kim Duncan (Kimmy Schwimmy) is the rightful and memorable center of this utterly likeable singing operation.

I am always searching for great children's music. This CD is proof that there are great artists out there who are not getting the exposure other children's artists are. Our family absolutely loves this CD. Kimmy Schwimmy's music is incredibly well written. We found out by checking out her website that Kimmy Schwimmy Volume One are all songs Kimmy wrote specifically for her new preschool music curriculum. (check out her site and learn so much more about her! [...]). If you and your child are looking for great songs that teach preschool subjects, songs that are great to listen to and sing along with, and songs that you'll want to hear over and over again, buy this CD. It is AMAZING!
