My teenage daughter has asked for the the most current Smallville series each year for the past three years for Christmas. It is always one of her most favorite gifts. She seems to be more excited about receiving the Smallville DVD sets then other gifts like: IPods and Digital Cameras!!!

So I was enjoying Smallville: The Complete Fifth Season when it dawned on my that I would not have a smooth transition from season five to season 6 due to the fact that the producers of the show have found it incumbent to end each season in suspenseful fashion. I had no problem with the other seasons since I could always pop in the first disc of the next season. Season five is exceptional because season six is unfortunately being broadcast via cable or air. The fifth season is good as far as Smallville goes. A return to more action scenes is definitely a welcome addition. They finally got rid of the ridiculous witchcraft that absolutely ruined season 4 (think "Isobel"). Disappointing that they did not develop Superman's flying ability though. Oh well...

My husband and I had to watch at least 3 episodes at a time because we were so hooked on it. Highly recommended.
