I gave this to my 5-year-old nephew for his birthday. He freaked out "the best gift ever!!! I love you Aunt Jill!" Exactly the reaction you hope for when you give a kid a gift. Three days later my nephew called to inform me that, sadly, Bumblebee had been decapitated. But he still called it "the best gift ever!!!" So, I guess Bumblebee doesn't really need a head to be fun.

This toy is a little advanced for a six year old. We bought it for our grandson and he is having problems manipulating and changing it from one thing to another. It looks very durable and should last him a good while. He should be able to work it as he gets older.

I found the description to be deceiptful and the price charged for a toy that would be found in stores (if not for selfish people who wipe out the shelves and then charge ridiculous prices for a child's toy!)
for $10.99 offensive. Shame on all of the people who found this means of ripping off people who just want to get a toy for their kid. I returned the item and plan to never buy another item from another on-line source that is not store-direct.

This rates as the ALL TIME greatest gift I ever bought. I was amazed when I saw it that it was so small and was sure that Will would tire of it after a few transformations. OR it would break. Not so- he played with it endlessly the whole two days I was there after Christmas. It is wonderful.

This is an excellent toy but not sure for young age children since it is a little bit difficult to transformer. Beware of the high internet price, I just saw couple more of this 08 Bumblebee at local Target store yesterday (1/8/08) and much more for repaint Cliffjumper which I bought one for only $9.99.
