- Beautiful Truck - Lousy Robot
I bought this Transformer for my 5 year-old grandson. It came in the Robot form. Just getting it out of the box was a chalenge because it was wired in a manner that made removing the twist ties without a wire cutter very difficult. Transforming it into the truck was very complicated and it took a while for my son and I to do it with the cartoon picture instructions provided. (I am an engineer and my son is a computer genius.) Once transformed into a truck, my grandson played with it for a while and tried to change it back to a robot with no sucess. I found it difficult to transform it even after I had done it myself once. He may play with the truck sometimes, but probably not the robot. He really loved the battery operated horn and headlights.

I reccoment buying a truck and a robot separately for a child. It would be far cheaper.

This is a cool prime. Once you transform him a couple of times he gets easy to transform. I got it today at target and it was the LAST ONE LEFT! Definatley get this if you want an example of an exellent transformers toy.

I bought this item for a grown up son, his brother broke his original one when they were younger, it was a great toy, and still is a great toy, but I would advise it for older children, as younger children get frustrated transforming them, and can break them.

You know how after you convert a Transformer back and forth a few times, the pieces tend not to sit flush with each other in vehicle mode? Not a problem here. Movie Leader Optimus fits tight after multiple transformations, in fact it's the best fit I've seen in an complex Transformer. I have two of the Takara Binaltech metal Transformers (Wheeljack BT-14 Mustang and Smokescreen BT-07 Subaru WRX Impreza) and they don't fit together as nearly as snug as Movie Leader Optimus.

The horn and window lights are a nice touch, and the retractable head mechanism is cool. If I was forced to complain about something I'd wish all the gray plastic pieces were painted chrome. The only piece that doesn't have a place to attach in truck mode (read: what you will lose if you're not careful) is the blue laser bolt that comes out of Optimus's pistol.

This is a Transformer to buy....maybe two, one to keep in the box and one to play with.

Guy that said prime was a traitor to his own kind, he wasnt he did it to save all the other races in the galaxy and i guess he thought making his race not reproduce was less of a loss than to let all other races die
