- Are You Kidding ?? Not for a 6 year old! Transforming the figure not for the faint of heart!
This toy looks very cool in the box! You just can't go wrong with a Star Wars toy in our opinion...but this one is next to impossible to transform. Box says for ages 5+ and my son got it for his 6th bday today. The transforming instructions are not much help. My 15 year old, who can do a rubics cube in no time flat, finally gave up after 30 minutes tryiing to transform it from Darth Vader to the Death Star. My husband was able to figure it out, but it took some time. I would not recommend this for anyone under 10. Darth Vader is very cool and it has some very cool sounds and lights. If you don't mind leaving it as Darth Vader, it is a great toy for all ages, but if you want to transform it...pack your patients!

This thing looks so cool on the box and in the commercials. Our 5-year old put it on his wish list for the holidays. The big moment came. The toy was opened and then the nightmare began. Four adults (I kid you not) worked on trying to "transform" this toy into the Deathstar for nearly 2 hours. Are we having fun yet?! Currently, it is sitting on a shelf about 95% transformed and our son cried himself to sleep. The box says 5+ for the recommended age. If a 40 year old adult can't make it work, how on earth can a little boy?

- DIFFICULT TO TURN INTO DEATH STAR BUT CAPTURES A VERY UNIQUE DARTH VADER FIGURE
I don't enjoy puzzles too much, however, my son does. Infact, he was able to turn the figure into the Death Star in less than ten minutes. It would have taken me ten hours. I think Darth Vader Transformer's point of view for a ten year old it's great. For me, I would rather display the figure along with all of my other Darth Vader Collectibles because of it is so uniqueness.

This is the kind of toy that will be very difficult to purchase around the holidays. Target has a few left at about $45.00, a little steep, but the engineering that went into its creation probably cost quite a lot as well. As a toy, any child is going to love it. As a collector, I enjoy bending the pieces and placing the character back together for display.

If you are worried that it won't be available in a few weeks, and you are a Darth Vader fan, get it now before they are all gone and/or the price goes up to $100.00 on ebay. This is not my favorite Darth Vader, but for its uniqness I would give it a rating between a B and an A-. It is also durable.

- Difficult to assemble into Death Star
I am at wits end trying to assemble this guy into "Death Star" mode. The "instructions" are written microscopically and are not much help. I have tried to do it three times with my overly excited son watching each time. Failed again. I need a drink!

I ordered this item in AUGUST - it is still NOT available. They have ZERO in stock, yet advertise like Amazon can send you one today. They CAN'T send one until CHRISTMAS.
My advice - look elsewhere and good luck.
